Now this can be a great option for you if you're running outta space in the back of your vehicle, whether you have a lot of people back here already or you have any items that are longer that just can't fit back here, anything like skis or a kayak. So let's check it out. The kit we have today is gonna be a fixed mounting point kit. So what that means is since we have flush rails, the way this is going to attach is we're gonna have two bolts that go into the fit kit itself and bolt into your roof. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Air Force One supplemental braking system on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WL new body style. Now, there's five main components required for flat towing your Jeep down the road. And starting on the vehicle side, we're gonna have our base plate, and that's going to structurally attach to the frame of the vehicle, creating a mounting point for the rest of our components and making it safe to be able to pull the vehicle down the road. And that's gonna have the hookups for some of the other components. So as you can see, we have the arms attached to our base plate. This goes to our tow bar, and this is gonna be the connection point between the base plate on the towed vehicle and on the hitch on the RV. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Blue Ox second vehicle breakaway switch kit. Before we do that though, let's take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. So one of the awesome things about the Blue Ox Patriot supplemental braking systems is the fact that they're super easy to set up, which can allow you to, you know, take it outta one vehicle and put it in another. So if you maybe just pick this Jeep up and you already have a Patriot system and another vehicle that you flat tow and you wanna pull the Jeep too, you could get this kit and set it up on your Jeep and that'll allow you to take that braking system that you already have and use it on your Grand Cherokee. So it's pretty convenient and not to mention too, you know, since they do, you know, you can take them out real easy If you end up selling your old car, buying a new one, you can keep that system, use a kit like this and be able to flat tow this. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, And today I have the Rhino-Rack roof rack system with extra long crossbars, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. If you wanna carry around fun accessories like maybe a roof box for more cargo space, or some kayaks, or even a roof mounted bike rack what you first need is a roof rack system. There are a bunch of different kits or roof racks for the Jeep Wrangler two-door version. This is actually my special recommendation kit because it has longer crossbars than what is usually recommended for this car. So measuring from the tower to right before that end cap, it's gonna be about 4 1/2 inches, 4 1/4 give or take how you set this up. That measurement is going to be helpful for if you want to clamp accessories to the tower, if you wanna maximize your crossbar space. more

So this is gonna be a custom fit one for your Jeep's gutters. So you're going to have a 59 inch long crossbar. You're going to have the towers and these fit into the hard top gutters. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Air Force One second vehicle kit on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE. Having a braking system on a flat towed vehicle is required in most states and the reason being is it applies the brakes on the vehicle as you apply the brakes on the RV, bringing the vehicle to a slow and stop when you are coming to a slow or stop on your RV. But you also have a breakaway switch on the front of the vehicle in case of a catastrophic disconnect which will apply the brakes on the vehicle and that way it's not rolling down the highway in case of that disconnect. Now you can get the full kit with the Air Force One and that's gonna give you a reservoir tank that you'll tie into your supplied and metered air on your RV. But a lot of your newer coaches will actually have brake sink or on our Spartan today, you can see our tow brake already has a hookup so you're gonna wanna check that first because if that's the case, then you can get the second vehicle kit which is basically just the car side. It's not gonna have the tank and you won't have to worry about the RV. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima EXO swing away storage system with the cargo basket and the enclosed cargo box, and seeing how it fits on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. So the Yakima EXO System is a very unique setup. It's gonna be a hitch-mounted carrier slides into our two inch by two inch receiver tube. And it does weigh quite a bit which makes your Jeep Grand Cherokee L a perfect fit for it because it's vehicle capacity and hitch capacity is more than enough for the job. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Demco Charge Line Kit for flat towed vehicles on a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Charge line is definitely a great addition to your flat towed vehicle. And the reason being is your vehicle, generally during the flat towed mode, is gonna be inaccesory, so there is a slight battery draw and after a long journey, the last thing you want to do when unhooking your vehicle is have to jumpstart it. The charge line just simply takes 12 volt power from the front plug, the six pole on the vehicle, and runs to your battery, allowing it to trickle charge as you drive. So pretty simple. They have a ring terminal already attached, so you put that to the positive battery terminal. more

So all those rocks and debris that's getting thrown up by our motor home tires will get deflected by the shield, protecting your vehicle from scratches and abrasions. It is a meshed design so that way airflow can flow through it, so you don't just got a parachute here in the back. And it is adjustable for various different vehicles and towbars. more

hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Air Force One second vehicle kit on a 2022 Jeep Cherokee. Now the second vehicle kit is going to come with all the components for the vehicle side. Now the full kit has a tank that goes on the RV but if you're picking up the second vehicle kit, chances are that you either have a vehicle that you've upgraded and you need to put a braking system on, and you're still using the same RV that already has it set up. Or if you want to add one of the cars at home to the list of vehicles that you can flat to a second vehicle kit is gonna be the best option. And it makes a little bit more sense to not have to buy the same components for the RV. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2022 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster charge line kit on a 2022 Jeep Cherokee. Now your charge line is just an added feature that you can add on. It's not required, but if you flat towed a vehicle before and it needs to be in the accessory mode for tow mode once you get to your destination, many times, your vehicle is gonna be dead because it is drawing that power as it's being towed. So, a way to fix that and not have to charge your vehicle at the campsite is running that charge line. It's just gonna take the 12 volt source from the RV, go into your six pole, and then go to a circuit breaker to protect the vehicle from any backfeed, and then just go to your battery. more

Instructor Hi there, Jeep owners. Today, your 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Road Masters Charge Line Kit. Now, we are using the charge line kit for motor homes on our Jeep here because the connector for our six-way is so far away from our battery and connections here and all the pathways that we have to take to get there. The regular towed vehicle kit is too short to make the run up to the connector. Now, that may vary depending on your base plate. We're using Road Masters Direct Connect, which positions the connector off towards the driver's side, which makes it further away. more

But before we do that, why don't we check it out and explain to you what this is gonna do and how it's gonna help your flat-tow situation. So when it comes to flat-towing a vehicle, a charge line kit like this one here is something I always recommend, regardless of the make and model, you know, for Jeeps, Fords, everything in-between. And I say that because what happens is, whenever you're flat-towing your vehicle your supplemental braking system is going to use power from your Jeep's battery. And so every time you hit the brakes, you know, that braking system on the Jeep is going to activate, take a little bit of juice. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be checking out and showing you how to install the etrailer.com Universal Brake Controller Install Kit. So this kit is going to allow you to do a few things, probably the big one being, allow you to use a Brake Controller. So it's gonna provide us with the 7-Way here and the necessary wiring and things of that nature, to be able to hook a Brake Controller up to it. Now granted, you are gonna have to get a separate Brake Controller, one that's not included with the kit, but everything is there generally speaking to get it all hooked up. The only thing that I had to add to ours was a No-Drill Long Bracket that way I could actually mount this up. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hey, everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over, and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit here, on a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So, a battery charge line kit is just gonna be one of the many things you need to successfully tow your Jeep here. Now, what this does is, this is gonna provide a small trickle charge to the Jeep's battery while it's in tow. That way, when you've arrived at the campsite, you're ready to unhook the Jeep, you don't have to worry about the potential for a dead battery. Now, how this works is, it's gonna take the battery on the motor home and there's gonna be a wire already pre-run on most motor homes, from the battery to the trailer connector, and then we're actually gonna "T" in to that trailer connector using a 6 or a 7-way umbilical cord, and that's gonna attach to a 6 or 7 way here on the Jeep. Those are gonna be required in order to use this battery charge line circuit. more

Hey, everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Demco battery charge line here on our 2021 Jeep Cherokee. So this particular battery charge line is gonna be for the towed vehicle. Most of your motor homes or your towing vehicles are gonna come with one, so you don't have to worry about wiring anything up on there. So essentially what this does is this is gonna be a lead that connects from the vehicle's battery here, and it's gonna be ran to the trailer connector, most likely a six-way trailer connector. Those are certainly the most common. You will need one that's gonna allow for that extra pin, so four ways are out the window, only seven and six ways. more
